Kate Moss sure knows how to take a bow.
The trendsetting supermodel’s final clothing and lingerie line for UK retailer Topshop is infused with the unique, bohemian style that she is known for.
The capsule collection — U.S. customers can shop online here — includes everything from sparkly party dresses and smart tweed blazers to jewelry and vintage-inspired lingerie. Even better, for those who weren’t able to get their hands on favorites from Kate’s past Topshop collections you now have another chance — the new collection includes 10 sold-out signature looks from previous editions of the Kate-Topshop collaboration.
This time, Kate’s lingerie offerings range from bras and panties to a slip and kimono, all with a flirty, feminine and vintage-inspired vibe.
The looks range from a triangle bra and underwear set in a soft bluish-grey inset with lace, to the Chinese Floral with Bows set, a playful floral bra and panty with scalloped trim and a contrasting blue ribbon and bow detail.
The Lace Ruffle Bra and Pant is very girlie and vintage — a structured nude bra with black straps and lace trim with a matching set of nude panties featuring the same lace detailing at the hip.
The loungerie trend can also be seen in the Lace and Silk Cami and matching pale yellow, lace-trimmed silk shorts, which exude an Old World elegance and romanticism.
And the black Oriental Kimono and Slip, decorated with a vibrant floral print, are the perfect choice for the chic woman relaxing at home, while the Chinese Floral Teddy is great for staying in, but also something one can imagine Kate Moss wearing out and about paired with tough boots and a leather jacket.
For those who like their fashion exclusive, the Kate Moss Topshop collection also features several limited edition pieces that come with numbered tags. There are only 50 of two of the dresses being produced, while there will only be 100 of the other four limited edition pieces.
The jewelry in the line isn’t being manufactured in such limited quantity, but it also isn’t likely to last long. The Art Deco-inspired cocktail rings and long necklaces would be the perfect companion to some of the silky and luxurious KM lingerie pieces.
And if you’re one of the many who were disappointed to learn that this will be the last Kate Moss collection for Topshop, you need not despair. A report from Vogue UK suggests that the recently married Ms. Moss is already in talks with Topshop’s Sir Phillip Green to design a — what else? — lingerie line. Stay tuned.
Photos below show several of the pieces from the new collection, including the oriental lounging pieces and the bras range.
Crystal Renn is never too far from the news, whether it’s because of plum modeling assignments for Gaultier and Chanel or her outspoken views on body image.
Last week, Crystal wore new latex designs from Atsuko Kudo on the runway (sharing the stage with a poodle!) at the glittering Lingerie NY benefit. Afterward, she gave a revealing interview to New York magazine in which she confessed that she “doesn’t tend to wear undergarments.”
What she said next is worth hearing, and repeating:
“When I was really, really thin and starving myself and I thought, basically, stick-thin was absolutely the only way to be beautiful, yeah, I hated wearing lingerie. Didn’t want to be naked on sets. God, a runway? Absolutely not. I would have called my agent and run home.
“I think it’s about setting your standards to something that’s attainable. You know, don’t set a size zero as someone you look up to in lingerie. Look for someone who kind of looks like you.
“You can be beautiful at any size, and that matters. And then the lingerie, that’s just the accent. It’s really about the person inside who should feel beautiful and confident. The lingerie is just an extra touch.”
You can hear more from Crystal and other celebrity panelists on Monday, when Glamour magazine hosts a Love Your Body forum as part of its Love Your Life series of talks. The event takes place at the 92nd Street Y in New York at 4:30 p.m.

Russian supermodel Irina Shayk heats up the September issue of GQ magazine with a sultry photoshoot featuring some of the season’s most revealing lingerie.
The stunning Irina is widely known for her appearances in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition, as well as fronting campaigns for Guess, Lascana, Victoria’s Secret and Beach Bunny.
GQ doesn’t offer much insight into the Russian beauty, other than to quote her as saying she grew up in “a village so small we didn’t even have fashion magazines.”
Which makes us wonder: how are the folks back home keeping up with the latest news about Cristiano Ronaldo’s girlfriend?
Ah, summertime and the livin’ is easy … especially if you’re Miranda Kerr.
The future Mrs. Bloom is raising temperatures again with this latest photospread from Victoria’s Secret, promoting its new collection of cotton undies.
In the campaign and accompanying YouTube video, Miranda lays about in a brightly lit high-rise bedroom, thoroughly relaxed and sporting a nasty case of bedhead as she models a collection of cotton bras and panties, plus a sweet set of pink knee-highs.
The latest VS offerings aren’t big news — these are cotton undies, folks! — just simple, cute items that will fit very nicely into the Victoria’s Secret catalogue and satisfy the need for new product.
Nope the news here, as is so often the case with VS, is the marketing campaign behind it all. What’s not to enjoy?!!
Here’s the new video, with some photos from the latest VS Cotton collection:
It was a homecoming of sorts when Brazilian supermodel Alessandra Ambrosio returned to her native country this month — on the newstands as cover girl for Vogue Brazil‘s July issue.
The Victoria’s Secret Angel appears in Vogue in an extensive photoshoot featuring very high-end lingerie pieces including corsets, a fabulous ruched slip that could pass as evening wear (!) and sleek bodysuits.
The spread appears to be shot in delapidated old house, and the flaking wallpaper and faded floorboards provide a stark contrast to Alessandra’s sleek silhouette. Altogether, a terrific shoot by lensman Jacques Dequeker and stylist Giovanni Frasson.
It’s not Alessandra’s best work, though. To see that, scroll to the bottom of this post!
