I am not sure what the weather is like from where you’re reading, but I can tell you that where I am, the forecast for the next three days is rain, rain and rain. While I do enjoy a rainy day here and there (it’s a great excuse to remain in the warmth of your bed and read), three days is borderline SADD-inducing.
However, what did perk up my mood today was the discovery of Camilla and Marc’s diffusion swimwear line C&M; the collection’s bright, punchy colours allowed me to escape this dreary day and imagine I was somewhere hot and tropical.
C&M is a swimwear line from the contemporary brand Camilla and Marc, a brother and sister design duo from Australia. Launched in 2007, C&M prides itself on providing a range of beautifully stylish yet highly wearable swimwear. The designs are a combination of classic styles in flattering shapes and feature sweet and graphic prints. The collection is a reflection of the beach lifestyle of Sydney, while also embodying an ‘elegant edge’.
“Marc and I were born in Sydney and have lived close to the beach all our lives,” said Camilla about the natural expansion to include swimwear. Judging from the collection, it seems that Aussies do know beachwear best!
While their new collection makes its way into stores this week, you can also find some pieces on shopbop.com. Such styles offered are the adorable ‘Edge of Seventeen’ liberty print, bandeau bikini, and the sultry animal print ‘I Put a Spell on You’ bikini, which is also offered in a lavender. The editor’s pick is the ‘Rapture’, a bright, sunflower-hued bandeau style bikini with underwire.
