If you enjoy watching The Walking Dead as much as taking solitary country walks, Hot Topic has just the thing for you this Valentine’s Day.
The U.S. retail brand known for its graphic pop-culture clothing has produced a special lingerie collection based on the 2009 publishing parody Pride and Prejudice and Zombies.
The seven-piece collection is a promotional tie-in for the movie version of the bestselling faux novel starring Lily James, which is expected to be a blockbuster when it reaches theaters next month.
Perhaps given the dubious credentials of the PPZ franchise, Hot Topic hasn’t done much to ensure historical accuracy in this collection, so don’t expect any realistic imagining of what the Bennet sisters might have worn under those high-waisted Empire dresses.
Instead, Hot Topic‘s PPZ line is targeted at 21st Century high school style rebels looking to make an impression in English class. It’s probably not authentic enough to help your marks, but it’s amusing enough to make even Mr. Darcy smile.
Layering pieces include a sweetheart dress, a lace trimmed tank and a ruffled lace babydoll, while the foundation pieces include a longline bra, corset, ruffled panty and a cute skirted panty for the truly daring.
What gives the pink-and-black collection its PPZ stamp are a pair of toile prints showing cameos of the story’s characters and countryside drawings.
Here’s a peek at Hot Topic‘s lookbook for its Pride and Prejudice and Zombies line, which went on sale this weekend.
