Winter is almost upon us, and you know what that means: time for smart girls everywhere to put away their silky skimpies and haul out the woolen leggings, flannel onesies, terry robes and whatever else it takes to keep the chills away.
Unless, of course, you’re one of Agent Provocateur‘s scantily clad snow bunnies, who seem to generate their own body heat whatever the season and whatever they’re wearing.
The playful UK lingerie brand has a lot of fun with its new holiday lookbook showing model Abbey Clancy cavorting in the briefest of styles while skiing, even though the erotic underthings are probably better suited for some fireside après ski in the chalet.
The campaign, shot by Liz Collins, was inspired by the “1970s heyday of alpine adventure,” the company says in a press release — presumably referring to the hedonistic party life that characterized Swiss and Austrian winter resort towns before everyone started wearing quilted goose down and drinking wheatgrass.
The shoot features a curated assortment of existing styles from AP’s recent swimwear and lingerie collections, including pieces from its Classics and premium Soirée ranges.
The styles are organized into skiing-themed categories like ‘Beginner’s Slopes’, ‘Blue Run Beauty’ and ‘Black Run Adventurer’, which roughly correspond to price categories in AP’s extensive holiday gift-giving guide. And for those shoppers who are intimidated by mountainous terrain or AP’s steep prices, the brand is launching a holiday collection of sexy briefs beginning at a mere £30.
Anyone living near one of Agent Provocateur‘s retail emporiums will see a lot more of this campaign in the pre-Christmas season as the eye-catching visuals are added to the stores’ seasonal window displays. Look for the crowds huddled outside, snapping selfies.
