The average age of first-time brides in North America has been increasing for years, but that doesn’t mean bridal lingerie has to reflect that trend.
Take, for example, the new Honeymoon Forever line of bridal intimates from L.A. clothing brand Wildfox.
The dreamy collection features soft styles, romantic prints and flirty slogans — signatures that have made the casual lifestyle brand hugely popular among girls in their late teens and early 20s.
It also means Wildfox‘s honeymoon set is targeting a younger demo than today’s typical bride. The average age of a first-time bride in the U.S. is now above 27 (up from 22 in 1960), and in Canada it’s north of 29.
But Wildfox isn’t missing the mark here: it knows women start dreaming about their wedding day long before they take the first step down the aisle.
That may explain why the Honeymoon Forever range is called “a bridal collection for before and after the vows.” This might just be the first aspirational trousseau collection — wedding night pretties for brides and wannabes.
Anyone familiar with Wildfox‘s typical intimates collection will find plenty to covet here. Lightweight robes, camis, rompers and, of course, the signature eyemask, all in pale hues like Blushing Bride Pink and Wedding White.
And most of the slogans (‘Dreaming of You’, ‘All Yours’, ‘Dressed Up In Love’) are generic enough to suit any romantic occasion, not just wedding nights.
If you’re nervously wondering if your beau is ever going to pop the question, any one of the pieces in this collection just might inspire him to act.
