If you’re dreading the thought of another long winter, the holiday season lookbook from NYC brand Between The Sheets offers some ideas for staying warm in style.
Called Into The Woods, the photo series combines the rustic appeal of a backwoods setting and the cozy comforts of an Architectural Digest-worthy home layout where, presumably, drafts are not a problem.
The new campaign highlights the growing repertoire of the hard-working indie label BTS, which offers both extravagant silk lingerie and more modest daily lounging pieces in eco-friendly fabrics. New additions include a range of tights and pointelle socks, which are nicely showcased in Into The Woods beneath designer Layla L’Obatti‘s luxurious and romantic robes.
In January, BTS will mark its 5th anniversary of beating the odds in the competitive lingerie market. And it’s come a long way.
Launched in 2010 from the spare bedroom in Layla and husband Josh’s apartment, the BTS and ‘Specimens of Seduction’ by Layla L’Obatti brands have since found customers in all 50 states and 20 countries around the world.
BTS is the epitome of the DIY ethos in lingerie, a self-made success that is almost religiously devoted to environmental and ethical manufacturing values. Every item sold by BTS brands is sewn, packed and shipped from within a four-mile radius in New York City — how many fashion brands in any category can make such a claim?
The hardworking team is also famous for doing everything themselves in order to keep their business sustainable. Layla, trained in fashion design, taught herself to build and design the company’s impressive website, e-shop and blog, while Josh, a lawyer, is the company’s self-taught photographer.
That homegrown approach gets a new spin in 2015 when BTS discontinues its wholesale business to retail boutiques, which means customers will only find the company’s catalogue available through its web store.
The Into The Woods campaign, shot in Woodstock, N.Y. in November, offers a generous sampling of what’s available. Brew yourself some hot chocolate and curl up by the fireplace to get the full effect while viewing!
