There are plenty of lingerie-inspired looks in the fabulous new Isabel Toledo RTW collection for Lane Bryant. But for a full designer collection of intimates from the plus-size retail brand, you’ll have to wait just a bit longer.

The company announced yesterday that it is partnering with French designer Sophie Theallet for an imagine-the-possibilities lingerie range due out this fall. Here’s an early sketch:

In the meantime, LB is drawing effusive raves for its eagerly anticipated collection from Toledo, which features daywear pieces in trendy graphic styles and classic lace treatments. The best part — it’s all very affordable.

And you can tell this is a brand that made its name in undergarments: many of the Toledo pieces (in sizes up to 28) are based on lingerie and nightwear styles, like the handkerchief dress or the stretch lace cocktail dress (below).

The fall collabo with Theallet promises to be colorful and flamboyant, coming from the award-winning designer who has worked alongside the like of Jean Paul Gaultier and Azzedine Alaia.

And both Toledo and Theallet share something in common: both are favorites of, and worn by, Michelle Obama.

NOTE: Lane Bryant is hosting a live runway show from the new Isabel Toledo collection on its website beginning at 7 p.m. tonight. Watch it here.
