How’s this for a winning photoshoot? If you’re like me, you’ll want to study it closely to take in all the delicious details. But don’t feel bad if you can’t quite figure out which lingerie brand is represented here; that’s part of the fun.
In fact, this collection of images is a special marketing package put together by Lingerie Française, an industry association made up of many of France’s leading lingerie labels and charged with the task of spreading the word about French luxury to the world. (Like, as if we didn’t know already.)
Lingerie Française made an early splash last summer when it literally dropped a squadron of lingerie-clad models into London, where they spent the day driving around in vintage convertibles and handing out gifts to amused onlookers. Talk about guerrilla marketing!
This year, LF concocted French Rendez-vous, the artful photoshoot shown here, to promote French brands at trade shows throughout the year. Shot in Paris by photographer Michelle du Xuan, the campaign is meant to showcase the highly stylized designs and surprisingly bold colorways coming from French brands in next fall’s lingerie collections.
