What Katie Did has another hit on its hands (or shelves).
The Vicky collection shown here is part of WKD’s spring 2011 release, and offers a much softer look than their iconic bullet bras and corsets without giving up the label’s classic silhouette.
The Vicky line features romantic black lace with subtle pink highlights on semi-sheer organza base. The low-cut balconette bra includes pale pink satin trim and a sturdy underwire for definition. This elegant new style also comes in a matching knicker and suspender belt.
Vicky was apparently designed as a tribute to WKD’s London boutique manager; how’s that for a compliment? The collection also gets a boost from the appearance of pinup model/designer Bernie Dexter on the WKD webshop and in its campaign imagery. Talk about a perfect match!
For true aficianados of vintage glamour, Katie’s spring collection offers several new items to tempt. There are several new pieces for their Glamour shapewear collection, including the lovely pale strapless bra shown below. There are new retro swimwear items, and a few new corsets as well, including two stunning underbust corsets that are new to Katie’s Cabaret range.
And speaking of America, that’s Gossip Girl Michelle Trachtenberg below on the cover of Maxim, all decked out in WKD’s Glamour corselette — What Katie Did’s first US magazine cover!
Here’s a few more shots of the Bernie/Vicky combination, followed by other pieces from WKD’s spring collection.
