If you like your lingerie just a little bit bad then you’ll likely enjoy Forrest & Bob.
The Scandinavian fashion brand was launched in 2008 by three siblings with the vision of making lingerie, as well as clothing and accessories, that are very “sex, drugs and rock ‘n roll.”
Forrest & Bob’s risqué campaigns — like their latest for Fall/Winter 2011 which has an adultery theme — include not only print ads but viral videos that have become Internet sensations. While the ads push the boundaries of propriety, the brand’s bras, underwear and tank tops are being snapped up by both celebrities and normal folk.
A fast-growing and popular brand in Scandinavia, Forrest & Bob is now trying to translate that success into other markets. And though F&B doesn’t yet have a strong presence in North America, it did launch a three-year global distribution contract in 2009 and recently collaborated on a special collection with ASOS, likely a move to break in further to the UK and U.S. markets. You can also purchase the brand online at the Forrest & Bob website.
While the brand is still finding its footing in retail stores in some parts of the world, F&B doesn’t seem to have any trouble in the arena of brand image. Brash, sleek and cool, the Forrest & Bob collection is ideal for fashionista femme fatales.
Forrest & Bob lingerie is all about lacey strips of fabric in neutral colors like white, grey and black. The products range from their thicker-strapped lace Bra II with scalloped edging to a lacy halterneck bra. Underwear can also be found in a variety of styles like G-string, briefs, hipster and string.
In addition to this season’s Adultery campaign, Forrest & Bob’s lace bra and G-string can also be seen in the brand’s steamy DIY Underwear print ads and video photographed by Henrik Adamsen, which feature a scantily clad model in a car. Attention grabbing and sexy, the campaign is exactly what Forrest & Bob are all about.
Below are some images from the DIY campaign. The full video, which is a bit NSFW, is here on YouTube.
