As the fall season approaches, lingerie designers are turning away from the bright, flirty styles of summer and toward more seriously sensual offerings. The latest lingerie collection in this trend comes from Canadian label Blush.
I may be a little biased (gotta support home-based talent), but I have nothing but praise for Blush’s autumn lookbook which, stylistically, is quite a departure from their last collection.
For one, the styles are absolutely gorgeous — like striking, stop-them-dead-in-their-tracks gorgeous. The seductive shades of black and midnight blue convey an alluring temptress, further heightened by the translucent skin of the captivating model. And with such styles names as Wicked, Starstruck, Raven Beauty, Intoxicated and Fatal Attraction, not only do they command your attention but also evoke a tempting femme fatale.
What sets Blush apart from other lingerie labels is that they offer highly luxurious products in both look and feel and for such affordable prices ($18-$68!). The bra I purchased from their S/S 2010 collection, a sexy push-up style in cream lace with chocolate brown ribbon detail, garnered a cat-like ‘wow’ from my boyfriend and friends alike. It only set me back $38 — for reals.
The fall 2010 collection from Blush is no exception: a dramatic vixen-esque bustier, aptly named Starstruck, and lace-adorned Fatal Attraction bodysuit are situated alongside a Wicked leopard print ensemble and more elegant Dark Whisper cream lace negligee. With such haut de gamme details, Blush lingerie is one label that delivers big on style yet is modest on budget.
