A while back a friend and co-worker introduced me to Elle Macpherson lingerie — and since then I’ve become a converted devotee. Not only are her bras jaw-droppingly beautiful, but they are impeccably crafted and provide the most amazing support — Elle really knows how to showcase your girls.
Already owning the Dentelle and Artistry sets from Elle Macpherson Intimates (I pull these from my arsenal when I want to feel my sexiest), I am completely smitten with the brand’s F/W 2010-2011 collection.
Comprised of vintage-inspired prints, bright pops of color and, of course, fine craftsmanship, Elle’s collection will surely not disappoint you lingerie aficionados.
Here’s what the New Zealand model-cum-designer had to say of her new myriad of styles:
”I’m so excited about this new colour palette; mood-lifting berry brights and juicy citrus hues are balanced with our can’t-go-wrong modern neutrals. This is also the third season of our popular D-G cup collection so it was really important to me that we offer our customers some exciting new style additions”
Among the classics like Dentelle, Artistry and Sheer Ribbons, Elle introduces wild animal print into the collection (a major trend this season), but not in the obvious way one would expect. Instead, a new style, Serengeti Plains in Powder Pink, is a take on zebra print that is created from monochromatic jacquard to produce a soft, romantic effect. Likewise, Summer Meadow is a sexy leopard-printed plunge bra with removable padding in a jewel-tone teal.
Other notable styles include To the Moon and Back, a slinky knit with vintage-like lace and contrast bows, as well as Fly Butterfly, a stretch satin and mesh with contrast lace in a sumptuous burnt orange hue.
Elle’s latest offerings also mark the third season of her D-G full cup line; for you girls that need ample coverage without sacrificing your fabulous personal style. Many of the petite-sized pieces are offered in D-G options, in such feminine styles like Cloud Swing in delicious Ruby Grapefruit, Sky of Love and Constellations (one of my must-have additions) in Rogue Nude lace with scalloped trim.
As if those styles aren’t tempting enough, Elle has also included new additions to her Afterwear collection; an assortment of comfortable loungewear and sleepwear. Slip into to the enticing Constellations chemise with sheer lace bodice, relax in the sweet Dawn Till Dusk nightie (pictured above) in Ruby Grapefruit with lace adorned neckline and bra back design, or lounge in the uber-relaxed Awakened modal pant and singlet.
