Wanted: three sexy moms-to-be.
Correction: three sexy moms-to-be who are proud to show off their new shape.
British maternity retailer Mamma La Rocca, in partnership with New Zealand’s Cake Lingerie, is looking for three “real” women from the U.K. or Ireland to become the new British face for maternity lingerie.
The contest is the next step in Cake’s very successful “Real Mums, Real Fit” campaign, which was launched in Australia and New Zealand back in March. The campaign resulted in these lovely photos that Cake used to highlight the true beauty of motherhood and maternity.
Women chosen in the U.K. competition will receive payment in the form of products from both Cake and Mamma La Rocca. More appealing, though, is the opportunity to be part of an international promotion that empowers women and celebrates women’s changing bodies during pregnancy.
“Pregnant and breastfeeding women are beautiful and it’s important they look and feel the same. We are constantly bombarded with unrealistic body images, creating a pressure that just isn’t fair. Women should be celebrated and applauded,” said Tracey Montford, founder of Cake Lingerie.
