A recent newcomer to the modeling world (she made her professional debut for Prada in 2009), Dutch model Marloes Horst seems to have exploded onto the fashion circuit.
Every time I flip through a magazine or peruse a label’s lookbook, I catch a glimpse of this honey-haired beauty.
Impressively, Horst has already graced the covers of numerous magazines like Italian Elle and Russian Vogue and was featured in this year’s highly anticipated Pirelli Calendar, shot by provocative photographer Terry Richardson. All of this (and more) accomplished at the age of 21! Le sigh … I am depressed just thinking about it.
Recently, Horst was chosen as the face and bod for not one, but two 2010 lingerie campaigns. The first, for French label Princesse Tam Tam, which derived its name from the 1935 film of the same name starring exotic star of the day, Josephine Baker. Princesse Tam Tam are known for their playful designs that combine elegance with a sense of frivolity, and Marloes Horst is the perfect embodiment of Parisian sex symbol Baker. Horst poses coquettishly in an eclectic, almost whimsical campaign that features Princesse Tam Tam’s signature lace bralettes, cheeky bottoms and playful prints.
In contrast, Horst also models for UK label Myla lingerie, where she is shown in an interior setting languidly posing in beautiful lingerie. Gazing intently into the camera, her signature pouty lips slightly parted, Horst shows off a mint green lace ensemble, a soft pearly-pink slip-dress with black accents as well as a sexy demi-cup floral set.
If these images are any indication, I would say this Dutch head-turner has a very prosperous career ahead of her!
