The Italian label Verdissima has released these enticing images from its upcoming Autumn-Winter lingerie collection for 2010-11.
It might not be immediately obvious, but the new Verdissima collection takes its style cues from 1980s lingerie fashions — you know, back before thongs and push-up bras and micro-fibers had taken over the industry.
Verdissima responds with classic designs that are both elegant and understated — decorative elements include bows and studs and satin trim, but not so much as to overwhelm the essential feminity of these pieces.
The Verdissima 2010-11 collection will offer a dozen lines — mostly in warm, muted shades — including a line of wool robes, some silk corsets, a trackwear collection and (my fave) the charming ruched briefs shown in the first photo below.
Verdissima is the younger, sportier label associated with the major Italian luxury brand Verde Veronica, so as always we look forward to the sumptuous fabrics and attention to fit that are hallmarks of the company.
