It’s going to be a big month for Cosabella.
The lingerie label is getting plenty of attention these days with its well-packaged and –marketed collection of Sex and the City lacey thongs, which are sure to be a sellout.
Now, Cosabella gets a further boost (so to speak) when Twilight beauty Christian Serratos (above) shows off its new Marni strapless plunge bra in the June edition of Maxim.
Cosabella is calling this “the latest miracle bra” (haven’t we all heard that before?), and they might not be too far off.
There are a million push-up bras out there, but the Cosabella Marni is distinguished by its lack of straps and its plunge front — creating an incredible profile when worn under a bridal gown or summer evening dress, for instance. And, the company claims, no slipping or pinching.
Too good to be true? If you look at the photo at right, you’ll see how they accomplish this.
The Marni strapless is more like a compression garment than lingerie. It’s made of a highly elasticized microfiber — it will feel like a thin wetsuit, and you may feel like you’ve been stuffed into a sausage skin, but it’s a small price to pay for all that cleavage.
The Marni has a lightly padded underwire that pushes the breasts upward and inward, and it even comes with detachable, adjustable straps if you need them.
All for $118. We expect to see – or not see, actually – a lot of these this summer.
