Viva Italia: Parah Shows Its World Cup Colors

Black triangle bikini bra by Parah

If Italy is successful in defending its FIFA World Cup title this summer, a small bit of credit may be due to the fashion swimwear label Parah.

Parah recently joined a long list of Italian companies hoping to boost its team’s fortunes at the World Cup in South Africa next month by introducing a unique collection of swimwear and accessories featuring Italy’s tricolored flag as a design element.

Now, Italian women can cheer on the team from their poolside loungers, decked out in a tricolor bikini, or a more subtle black bikini with a custom enamel clasp resembling the Italian flag.

The Parah World Cup swimwear line includes six bikinis in triangle and push-up styles, and a one-piece swimsuit (pictured). The collection also includes t-shirts, sarongs, hats, slippers, beach towels and even men’s briefs.

Parah’s limited edition makes up for an obvious gap in a new bikini collection unveiled by French label Etam: even though Italy is defending champion, the Italian colors were NOT included in Etam’s series of World Cup bikinis!

Ready teams? May the best beachwear win!

Where can i order these bikinis?

Parah is from Italy and their collection can be hard to find outside of Europe; they don’t have an online store.

You can do two things: First, visit any fine lingerie shop to see if they carry Parah or have its catalog. If not, you can buy most of the 2010 Parah swimwear collection online at Nancy Meyer is one of our favorite shopping destinations for luxury swimwear, just be sure to check delivery, sizing and returns information carefully before shopping!

ps. If you are looking specifically for the World Cup products … I don’t know if they’ll be distributed outside of Italy. A number of lingerie companies are now producing limited edition World Cup collections, but usually just for the “locals”. Good luck!
