The sudden and tragic death of Alexander McQueen affected not only those who work in the fashion industry, but also those who admired the talented designer. It’s unquestionable that McQueen was one of the most influential and innovative British fashion designers, known for his dramatic and avant-garde designs.
Prior to his passing, Alexander McQueen was working on a men’s underwear collection to be released this June. The underwear consists of briefs and boxers with his signature skull print, x-ray graphics, a bone print, as well as an all-over feather print seen in his last collection.
The full collection will encompass basic underwear, sleepwear, loungewear and swimwear. Basic underwear will cost $53, while a pyjama set is $550.
In honor of McQueen, the first release of the collection will include a red, skull-printed boxer short with proceeds going to benefit AIDS charities worldwide.
The collection will be available this June at Barneys New York, Selfridges in London, as well as on alexandermcqueen.com.
